Sesame Street Live @ Marina Square

The much loved Sesame Street characters are in town again. I remembered we were at the same show at Takashimaya last year with Chloe. She was barely one year old then. She cried when the children around us were screaming with excitement. She was too young then to enjoy the show. The loud screaming by the children scared her.

This year, it's so much different. Chloe's excited about the show. She clapped & dance when the music played. She stared at the characters in awe especially her favourite 'Momo' (Elmo) appeared on stage. She is better able to relate to the show as she is familiar with all the songs sung too. To add on, Gor Gor Ian was with us. The kids enjoyed the show tremendously.

The queue started more than 1 hour early. Being the first 40 families, we were able to get close to the characters for a photoshoot after the show. However Chloe was terrified of the huge characters behind her during the shoot, as a result, the photo wasn't perfect. My hair was in a mess from all the sudden change of direction & Chloe was ...CRYING :P

We also met up with Sandy, Jo & Matthew at the show. We later posed for a picture together.

We met Joanne & Auntie Sandy at the show!

Bad Weather

Saturday was spent at home as Pete & I dun really have any idea what we were going to do. I surfed the net looking for design ideas & Pete helped clean up the pile of thick black dust trapped inside the air conditioner.

Chloe created a mess in the house as usual....

The weather was bad...havn't seen such dark clouds in a long time.

My Girl Bites!

My Friday afternoon wasn't that pleasant when I got a call from Teacher Monica again. My heart skipped a beat when I was told that Chloe bit a boy in her class! According to Teacher Monica, she had to give me a call as the bite was 'pretty bad'. Gosh! My girl again...Arrgh! I tried to not get too worked up & let Teacher Monica finishe telling me what happened.

Apparently, Chloe was playing with some toys & she wouldn't allow the boy to get it. Hence she bit the boy on the face & left the poor boy crying. The bite was bad as what the teacher told me. Pete saw that the boy has abit of a blue black mark on his face :(

Teacher Monica advised me to reinforce to Chloe that she cannot go around biting people at home. Chloe was also not allowed to go to the playground that day. Instead, she was sent to the Principal's office! Chloe looked solemn when told by the principal what she did was wrong. So teacher told me that Chloe indeed understood that she was not suppose to do what she did.

I just hope there would not be anymore incidents like this. I feel so bad for the boy & I owe the parents an apology.

Happy Birthday To Me

I went to work as usual on my birthday. It was a usual busy Friday. I have the slightest idea where we will be heading for dinner. I text Pete to fetch Chloe from school & asked him where we would be having our dinner. The answer is Jewel Box.

It was an impromptu decision to head for Mount Faber. Nevertheless, I thought why not since it's a change from the usual dining location. So we ended up on top of Mount Faber, dining alfresco @ the Moonstone afresco bar accompanied with the dazzling night scenery of the harbourfront.

The Beef Tenderloin & Teriyaki Cod fish was a hit. Chloe nodded her head repeatedly asking for more helpings. The friendly staff even offered Chloe a glass of cherries as a sweet treat. We wine & dine under the stars despite the humidity. I must say I was a happy wife & mummy on my birthday. The evening ended with a round of cable car ride to & fro Sentosa island with Chloe sitting on my lap admiring the spectacular view from high above.

Messy Baby

It's my birthday this coming Friday & mom in law suggested to have dinner together since she will be flying off to Hong Kong for a holiday on that day.

We had dinner at a coffeeshop opposite Thomson Medical Ctr. No fancy restaurant settings & menus. Just good old cantonese Zi Cha fare. I must say the food is pretty good. We ordered fish, Ha Cheong Gai, Kai Lan with scallops & Claypot Toufu.

Pete, Chloe & I together with mummy & granny enjoyed our dinner. Chloe had her fill & was pre-occupied with playing with the bowl & spoon while we ate. See how dirty she is!!

Cute Mickey Mouse MP3

AIN'T THESE CUTE LITTLE MOUSEY EARS CUTE??

They're so light !! Only 18g, smaller then the size of a ping pong ball. They come in an assortment of colours of Black, White, Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Gold & Pink! They come in storage spaces of 1 to 4GB. I fell in love with the colours almost immediately. I am even tempted to get one each in EVERY colour!

Can this work like a normal MP3 player? Eh... this I will have to find out for myself when I get the actual piece. Can't wait to plug into this to test out for myself.

In fact, I got this not only because it's so tiny & cute, I wanted to get a thumbdrive for the longest time to store photos that I have of Chloe so that I can have access to it anytime.

These are the features of my new mickey mp3 player:

· Indicator LED
· Mini USB 2.0
· Fast USB 2.0 transfer
· Volume up/down
· Next/previous

Principal's Call

I have a phobia everytime I see my mobile ringing with Happy Family flashing on my screen. "NOT AGAIN?!" I thought.

It's a busy Friday at work & my advertiser simply was not organised in her ad placements. She was indecisive & I was on the line with her for 20 mins!! Filed the page, refreshed again cos she forgot something. Nevermind that..the worse is I cant really concentrate with her when I am wondering why the school called me a 2nd time in a week.

Sure enough, bad news AGAIN. Arrgh!! I must be the most stressed out mummy when I heard from Jessica (Chloe's principal) that she hurt herself again. This time she lost balance while trying to get off a chair & somehow she fell & hurt her nose. Chloe's left nostril bled & her upper lips was slightly bruised. Jessica assured me Chloe is ok & I asked how she fell. Initially I thought naughty Chloe might have climbed up the chair while playing. But Jessica said otherwise. I didnt want to blame the school as I believed they are telling me the truth. As long as Chloe is fine, I am relieved. She could have fallen when the teacher's attention is on other kids. Well this could happen in a busy classroom of 11 kids.

I left office early today as I wanted to make sure that Chloe is alright. Apart from the dried blood at the entrance of her nostril & the slightly darker colour from the bruise on her upper lip, Chloe is her usual self. She is very active & happy. Now I can really heave a sigh of relief.

All Fall Down

I got a call from Happy Family today while at work. Dear Chloe had a fall again. This time round, she has a blue black patch on her forehead. How did she get that?

Well, teacher Monica informed me that Chloe was practising a dance for the upcoming concert in class when she made a turn too fast & landed on the ground. This time round, I thought it's quite funny to hear of this accident in school. I can imagine Chloe's small little feet dancing around the classroom & because of her anxiety to turn too fast, she got dizzy, lost her balance & fell. *Plonk Ouch!! * Ironically the song she is dancing to is ALL FALL DOWN haha..

Teacher Monica applied zambuk on her forehead & Chloe stopped crying after awhile. I was told to expect the bruise when I see her in the evening. Well...my monster she's forever so clumsy.

Chloe's Development in School

Eversince Chloe went to childcare, she's somehow different, more grown up? Maybe... not that drastic, but I noticed some change in her. She is more friendly. She will hug the jie jie's in school when she sees them. When she sees other kids, she will extend her hand as if she wants to have a firm handshake. Sometimes, she will wave & smile.

Recently she is more interested in songs, especially action songs. She will dance & do actions when she hears the music. When she hears the Barney song, she will do the 'kiss' action. (Aww...you should watch her do it, so sweet!)

She loves to request me to sing her the counting song & 三只老虎, when I come to the part of 跑得快, she will grin & stomp her little feet on the ground enjoying herself as she goes through the motion. When the song I sing to her is not in her 'wish list' she will give me a firm MO! (ah hem Mo is actually NO la..) then poor mummy has to react in time & change song as fast as a cd player could.

I am looking forward to the school concert in December. Chloe will be dancing & clapping to the tune of 'ALL FALL DOWN' with her classmates in school.

Below is what I captured of Chloe trying to wear her pants. This is such a funny sight as she already has pants on. She is enjoying every minute of it :)

Busy ..busy....busy....

Pete & I have been busy lately scouting around furniture malls & electrical stores to check out the prices of items we need to get for our nest next year. It's pretty time consuming & tiring to do this almost every weekend. We didnt want to be 'ketok' & thought its best to do some legwalk to get the best deals we can find.

Just like any other weekend, we were at Harvey Norman yesterday @ their 7th anniversary sales. Chloe was getting pretty bored & decided to snatch papa's cap while he was checking out laptop prices.

Sunday Evening @ Ikea

It's just another 'price checking' & idea scouting weekend. After walking around Parkmall, we decided to head to Ikea to get inspiration for our kitchen.

Check out my little monster...without her skirt :P she wet herself so mummy & daddy has to carry her around the store with just her diaper pants ! Some shots of her really look like a BOY!

My dream kitchen....so NEAT!!! Impressed with the many gadgets available in the market now.
