Sneak Preview - 8 March 2008

Approximately 2 weeks more will be Chloe's 1st Birthday Bash @ NSRCC. Pete & I have been to the concourse, party shops & major supermarkets to check out various birthday favours available. We are almost done preparing for the items to be put inside the loot bags.

I've been busy liaising with the baker on the cake design, the colours to be used for Chloe's balloons, the buffet etc. Hubby dearest has been given the task to do up Chloe's e-invite. Here's a sneak peek :)

Slow & Steady Babe!

Chloe has been very active & I never once worry about her physical developments except the falls she may encounter while climbing up & down. Pete & I have been assisting Chloe on how to help herself down from the bed for some time - BACKSIDE FIRST. Numerous times she failed to do it . She will either cry for help or trace back her steps n refuse to try to descend from the bed.

However just this morning while I was racing to get to work in time, I witness Chloe slowly climbing down the bed ON HER OWN! Yay! that's my girl! I clapped out loud to encourage & praise her. She smiled back at me as if telling me 'Mummy see? I can do it! '. She is always so garang but I must say I am really proud of her achievement! :) That's my girl.

Chloe's First Visit To Sentosa

Sunday morning started with the usual sound of Chloe waking us up from slumber land at 8am. After giving her milk, we succeeded in putting her back to sleep with us for another hour. That's definitely what me & Pete would like for a Sunday...SLEEP. Having a baby with us now is impossible for us to laze in bed like what we used to enjoy before baby.

It was only in the late morning that Papa Pete decided to bring the family out for a trip to the flower exhibits. After packing the diaper bag & all neccessary items, we left the home at 1pm.

The sun was shining brightly, we were prepared with Chloe's sunblock & hat to protect her from the heat. Although it's the last day of the exhibit, we were still surprised to see throngs of people young & old enjoying the scenery & snapping photos with their loved ones. Chloe enjoyed herself to the fullest & we hope to have the chance to bring her to Sentosa island again.

March Mummies Gathering @ Disney Cafe

Arrived @ Disney Cafe on Saturday @ 1pm hoping that Chloe will get a chance to mingle with her friends. I was quite disappointed at the end of the day & did not enjoy the outing cos I was repeatedly rushed by my dad to go to another friend's place.

This is the only photos I managed to capture of Chloe & her friends from the March 2007 Forum.

Backdated Post: Reunion Dinner Cum Pete's Birthday

2 February Sat. We had reunion diner at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at UOB Plaza with my family. The restaurant is situated at the 60th storey & we got a magnificent view of the city. It's the 1st time we are having our reunion dinner outside this year. All enjoyed the gathering, good food & great company.

Since Pete's birthday is on 4 February & I got played out by a bakery which promised me that they could take my order. I ran out to Boat Quay to get 2 ordinary looking cheese cakes from TCC Cafe at Boat Quay.

I thought this plate looks very 'photogenic'!

It's actually a very normal looking plate the restaurant provided for me to put the cakes.

Chloe was fast asleep when we took our family pic.

Tee With My Name

Can't resist these cute tees again when I saw them on a website that does personalized tees for babies. I get to choose the graphic, font type & message on the tee. Don't come cheap though...my wallet is poorer by 40 bucks. Will probably have Chloe wear them on her birthday & every other day cos the size is just right for her now!

I Want Mummy

I just dun understand why Chloe sticks to me like glue. MIL & Pete's granny calls her 'Qi San Gou Yok' in Cantonese (meaning Medicated Plaster). She is just like a piece of plaster that sticks to me. I cant leave her on the mat to wash her bottle. She will cry (*Note no tears :P) There's one occasion when I actually carried her to sit with me inside the washroom!

Separation anxiety? or she just loves to look at things around her in my arms? She wants to smell me? Or she just simply hates the new pram?

We have recently bought a new stroller for her since we go out with her quite often. I've wanted one partly cos of the weight of the old stroller I want to be able to handle a lighter stroller when Pete is not around to help me. However Chloe just would not cooperate by sitting quietly on it. She will fuss & cry to be carried whenever we have the slightest hint to put her down. She will even attempt to climb out of it. Sometimes, when my back is really aching, I have no choice but to ignore her cries & put her down. I call the stroller the 'Notti Pram'. So when Chloe mis-behaves, I will tell her that mummy will put her on the Notti Pram whenever she refuse to finish her milk.

I guess till I train her to sit still, or till I master the act of ignoring her cries, I have to surrender to her sometimes when she motions for me to carry her.

My Little Monkey

We spent the 2nd day of CNY house hopping again. It was a hot & sunny day. Our visiting started from Woodlands to Toa Payoh to Bishan & then to Chloe's God ma's place at Sunhaven Condo in the late evening.

As God ma is getting married soon this September, she has her love nest done up & invited her close friends for gathering at her lovely home. Chloe of cos enjoyed herself climbing up & down the sofa. Her movements is so fast that Mummy had a hard time getting a decent shot of her & pretty God ma in her new hairstyle!

Chloe's 1st Photoshoot

I've always wanted to go for a family photo session after Chloe is born. Finally I managed to squeeze in some time before the CNY holidays. It's a lot of hard work getting a cranky baby to pose. Phew!! After all the hardwork, here's some pictures of my little darling.

Constipated...

Chloe seemed abit constipated for the past 2 days. Her usual morning poo is delayed till night time. Moreover, she seems to be having some difficulty forcing her poo out, oops pardon me, to describe it in detail, her poo is the size of a round 汤圆 haha. Mummy & Daddy were in time to catch little Chloe in action.

Here's Chloe rooted on the bed, refusing to move cos she is exerting her ..*ahem* muscles.

'BEFORE' PICTURE
Mmmmm MMm..

'AFTER' PICTURE
Yeah Mummy! I feel soOoo relieved now!
