Haha! I finally remembered to upload this picture of the completed silk blanket with Teddy Bears for my darling. Thanks to Auntie Alexis for her help! Without her, I wouldn't be able to keep my baby warm in her dreams :)

Poor Darling Chloe Is Sick Again.....

I am updating this blog with a heavy heart cos Chloe is sick again. This time round she is diagnosed with diarrhoea & suspected of being lactose intolerant :(
To add on to this, Chloe has eczema around her mouth! This has been going on & off for about 1-2 weeks. Just as the rash is healing slowly on it's own without medication, I am thrown off by this bad news again.

Chloe's pediatrician suspects that the rash & diarrhoea might be inter-related. I am quite puzzled as Chloe is taking the current formula milk quite well as we have introduced to her for a good 1 - 2 mths. Well, at this time I guess I have to obey the doctor's advise to stop all milk to Chloe immediately & try on a lactose free formula. No veg & fruits for the time being too.

The diarrhoea actually caused much discomfort to Chloe especially her buttocks are red & painful although I've applied a thick layer of Desitin to her skin. This is due to the acidic content of her poo that resulted in the red & inflamed skin. Chloe cried buckets at the doctor's office & I was pretty worried n stressed up trying to comprehend the doctor's explanation & pacifying her with toys at the same time!

The damage to my pocket was a hefty $152.35 (yeah it's by far the highest!). Well...for the well-being of my baby what choice do I have? The nurse actually cautioned that the new formula milk is tasteless & my baby might not want to consume it! I just wish that Chloe will not reject the new formula milk that will be replacing her current one.

Mummy's 1st Birthday with Baby

My 1st Birthday celebration with Chloe (& Pete of cos) started off at Mac Cafe @ Clarke Quay. Pete & I ordered a coffee each to start our day while waiting for Chloe to wake from her nap. Today happens to be Andrew & Fion's ROM day too & our afternoon was spent eating & chatting leisurely with Pete's relatives at Peony Jade Restaurant after the ROM ceremony.

Dinner was with Mom In Law @ Aerin's Italian Restaurant at Raffles City. We spent our evening enjoying our pastas & my mini birthday Cheese Cake.

Sunday seems to be Gym day for Chloe. Mummy & Daddy brought Chloe to VIVO again. Cousin 安安 joined '妹妹' today too. We went to Candy Empire to get gummies & hazelnut cookies, Toy R Us to see THOMAS THE TRAIN & even Best Denki to check out on a lap top.




After that, all proceeded to Kim Gary Restaurant for dinner. Here is a picture of my bowl of Chilli noodles. Yummy! & I was joking with the waitress that I can literally STEAM MY FACE over the bowl haha!

Chloe is 8 Months Old!

Chloe is 8 Months Old today. Although Chloe is not really eating porridge compared to her friends of the same age at this moment, Mummy is confident she will catch up in no time.

To date Chloe is able to:

1) Reach out to Papa, Mama & Gong Gong to signal she wants to be carried.
2) She enjoys eating her Oatmeal Cereal with prunes & apples.
3) She loves to 'work out' at the Gym, crawl, climb, kick & jump & stand up on her own with support.
4) Chloe can clap her hands when you tell her CLAP CLAP or 拍拍手！

Welcome Baby Lucas!

On the night of 31 October, Baby Lucas is born. Baby Lucas weighs a healthy 3.33kg & is delivered by Doc Jocelyn Wong @ TMC. Chloe now has a younger cousin who may go to the same primary school together with her in future!

Hey Baby 2007

Mummy & Daddy has enrolled Little Chloe for the upcoming Hey Baby Contest organised by Mediacorp. The contest will be held at Suntec on 3 Nov @ 10.30am.

Chloe will be taking part in 2 categories, namely: Most Adorable Baby & Parent-Baby Look alike. (with dear Daddy of cos).

Mummy is quite excited as this is Chloe's first contest! Mummy hopes that Little Chloe will enjoy herself socialising with the little friends that are taking part together with her. Most importantly Chloe will have the support from Mummy & Daddy, cousin An An & Yi Yi & Po Po who will be at Suntec to cheer her on!

Tired Mummy

I have been putting off blogging for about 2 weeks now? I am tired & quite lazy (hee). Perhaps working on Sundays has taken a toll on me. Or am I finding excuses for myself?

Recently Chloe has been quite cranky & sticky to me. She seems to prefer playing on my bed rather than on the new bumper mat that I bought for her. She will extend her hands & insist i carry her leaving me no time to finish chores at home.

Over the past 2 weeks, I've seen Chloe advance again. I PERSONALLY tried to feed her mixed fruit cereal & she loves it! I was quite excited to see her swallowing spoonfuls after spoonfuls of cereal I put into her mouth. She can wallop up half a bowl at lightning speed!

During play on my bed, Chloe can literally stand while supporting her palms on the wall! This she did oblivious to me staring hard at her when I am blow drying my hair. That reminds me of her small little adventure at Gymboree last Sunday with daddy Pete.

Daddy remarked Little Chloe simply enjoyed herself, (oh! with the company of her little friends & aunties from March Mummies SMH Forum) playing with balls, crawling up & down & into 'tunnels'. What a pity vain Mummy is at a salon doing her hair & did not witness Little Chloe having tremendous fun at the Gym.

So here it is...a short summary of the developments of the little Angel - Chloe :)

The 1st Time We Met

It's 10.06pm on my clock now. Chloe is fast asleep while Pete is working the night shift tonight. I am sitted in front of my favourite toy (my PC) surfing away.

I suddenly thought of the day me & Pete met. How coincidental & funny ... Nah it's not a blind date, nah it's not planned either...It's just pure miracle I got to know him..or should I say I am fated to know him.

It's birthday Galore this week. Pete, Chloe & I have attended 3 birthday celebrations this week. We met mummy, Andrew & of cos the birthday girl Qiu Lian at Tung Luk restaurant at the new Central. Chloe has her first taste of chocolate cake at the restaurant. Eh...mummy is actually worried her dear baby will have a tummy upset later!

Happy Birthday Jaeden

Jimmy & Mag's little boy has turned ONE! Pete & I were invited to his birthday bash at Changi Coast Walk on Saturday. Jaeden is one lucky boy. Over 50 guests turned up for his birthday celebration. The bungalow chalet was decorated with pictures of Jaeden, plenty of balloons, Nemo character birthday banners & plenty of goodie bags for children. The birthday cake - Ernie from Sesame Street was most impressive. Chloe of cos was enjoying herself at the party!

My God Ma is Getting Married!!

I couldnt be happier when I got a text message from my girl friend aka Tricia Airen. Sam proposed! & She has accepted his ring & proposal. What a pleasant surprise amidst me grabbing calls on a busy Friday afternoon.

I texted her back excitedly waiting to hear more details about the PROPOSAL. Alas the day has come. My airen has finally agreed to marry her Prince Charming. I am really happy for my good friend. I couldn't wait till I meet Tricia for a LIVE UPDATE!

Chloe is 7 Months Today

Time flies...my darling girl is 7 months old today! Lazy mama finally made the 1st attempt to cook mash potatoes for her. Mummy had fun boiling potatoes for little Chloe & placing them in baby cubes to be stored in the fridge. These are little ice-cube containers with lids to help keep baby food stored in small quantities. Each cube contains 1 ounce of mashed bb food. Isnt it cool?

Mummy has recently introduced a new Formula for Chloe too as mummy got to know that too much Soya based formula milk is not good for baby. Chloe seemed to have loose stools as a result. But today Gu Po finally reported Chloe's poo is normal! Yeah!

My Dear Kitty

This is yet again another gift from my Mom In Law - A musical Kitty Bank.
In fact Chloe has 2 Piggy Banks now to drop her coins in. Both gifts from MIL. Baby Chloe is delighted & amused by the music coming from the kitty when a coin is dropped in. Mummy hopes she will learn to save & be thrifty when she grows up!

My Poor Baby

My dad is busy with bookings for his regular customer from India this week, so I had to bring Chloe back from my aunt's place after work this evening.

Upon reaching my aunt's place, I was told that Chloe fell from the bed this morning at 9am. She cried buckets n had a bruise at the side of her forehead. Immediately I asked my aunt how Chloe fell & if she is ok. Auntie was apologetic & I could sense she is worried that I would blame her. This is her 2nd fall within a week. Sigh..I guess it's an accident & my aunt didnt want it to happen either.

Chloe was smiling & cheerful when she saw me, I guess she should be ok. I feel so bad for my baby...ouch ouch.

C.H.L.O.E

This afternoon I went to Taka to get a card for my girlfriend who's birthday is round the corner. I saw a really cute 'name frame' from Precious Moments. It is made up of small cardboard pieces of alphabets that you can choose to make up any name you want. I love it. This will be displayed in Chloe's room when my flat is ready next year.

This Sunday morning, Chloe woke up early as usual. She was in a cheery mood. She has this habit of smiling & singing out loud at the start of her day. She was even happily smiling at me while i quickly grabbed my camera to capture her funny pose on the bed.
I brought Chloe to the market alone to get my breakfast as Pete was out of the house early for his annual company event. After I came up, I suddenly thought of the pack of Pigeon fish biscuits I got for Chloe last week. So i opened up the pack n let Chloe have a taste of the biscuit. She loves it!

Little Chopin?

Tadaaa! Here it is! The much awaited new toy for Baby Chloe. Her little Strawberry Piano. Mummy has been buying mostly Clothes for Chloe. This is the 2nd toy Chloe has, present from Mummy for Children's Day!

Thanks to Auntie Charmaine (who's birthday happens to fall on Children's Day too) who got mummy this cheap lobang haha! Well...mummy thought this would make a great toy as long as it can entertain Chloe with the colourful buttons & keyboard & not to mention the cute strawberry design. Now the next step mummy has to do is to get batteries!!

Mid Autumn Festival

This is my first Mid Autumn Festival with Chloe. Nothing much done with her or for her except that Chloe went with daddy to the lantern festival last Saturday. I hope by next year when Chloe learns how to walk we can bring her to the nearby park with her lantern.

Chloe - 6 Months Album

FINALLY!!!!

This is EXACTLY what I want to tell the delivery guy when I saw the bumper mat delivered to my door step last nite.

I've waited so long for this BP (Bulk Purchase) online. Almost 3 months!! The organiser did not manage to get the hugely popular WORLD MAP design for the eager mummies who ordered afterall. We had no choice but to settle for other available designs.

Pete & I chose this YELLOW BEAR design for Chloe. Hmmm...I am not very excited (b'cos I waited SoooO long for it?) when the mat was delivered, nor am I equally excited when I unzipped the bag holding the bumper mat & finally saw the actual product.

All I can say is, I am glad I finally have this item for Chloe's playtime. I can visualise her crawling, sitting & lying on it at this very moment. Let's hope Chloe will like to play on this bright & cheerful mat.

GONG GONG IS BACK!!!

Chloe is such a fortunate baby. Everyone loves her including Gong Gong of cos! Gong Gong went on a trip to Guang Zhou China & got quite a few presents for Little Chloe including a 100% Handsewn Silk woven blanket & 2 sets of Silk Top & pants set for the coming Chinese New Year.

A Lazy Sunday @ Yiyi's House

Today is SUNDAY. Needless to say I've already got the MONDAY BLUES, since Pete & I has got nothing much to do, we've decided to bring Chloe to my sister's place. Chloe has been quite wakeful at night recently, hence both Pete & I have eye bags & dark eye rings. Alas we found some time lazing & napping at my sis place followed by a surprise DURIAN treat & later on to IKEA.
