Gong Gong...Po Po

Recently Chloe has made some improvements again. This time round she can say a few more words namely:

1) Gong Gong
2) Po Po
3) Gor Gor
4) Throw
5) Xie (meaning Thank You)

She expresses herself by nodding & shaking her head more often now or by some actions like pointing to her diaper when it's full, pointing to the spot where she feels pain. She will lift up her legs when I tell her to wear her pants or socks, when she reaches home, she will sit down & remove her shoes first & place her shoes beside Gong Gong' shoes.

Chloe Is Going To School ...

Yesterday, Pete & I took the day off to register Chloe with the childcare centre @ Bishan called HAPPY FAMILY. Her school term will most probably start in September or October pending confirmation from the school principal if she can start slightly earlier than 18 months.

Chloe's been having bad appetite recently. She will only eat a few spoons of porridge & rice that the maid cook n throw up the rest. Dad suspects it's teething again. Yesterday afternoon, the maid reported that Chloe is having a fever of 38.5 degrees. Luckily the fever subsided in the evening after a dose of paracetamol. Chloe woke up crying in the middle of her sleep last night. I think I might have scared her last night when I gave a loud scream out of shock when Chloe slapped me on the face before sleep time :(

Since Chloe still continues eating other food items like biscuits, cereal & fruits, I will to monitor her progress on her food intake more regularly. Chloe is at 10kg now :)

What A Big Jackfruit!

Chloe was at the market as usual in the evening waiting for Gong Gong to get some cut fruits for her. While waiting for the fruits to be served, the fruit stall uncle showed Chloe a big jackfruit.

Woah...wat's this uncle?
Can I pat it please?

Clap! Clap!

Chloe was at Gymboree clapping to the tune of the song 'When You're Happy & You Know You'll Clap Your Hands'. Check out the way she's running around the place squealing in excitement!

What's Wrong Baby?

Chloe had a difficult time sleeping yesterday night. She has a blocked nose & kept waking up crying in the middle of the night. Pete brought her to Doctor Chee this morning before sending her over to my sis's place. Chloe's throat is inflammed & she sneezed a few times througout the wholeday. She has been coughing this few days with phlegm in her throat. Sigh, I guess her pneumoccocal jab has to be postponed again!

Later in the evening, I was informed by my sis that Chloe refused to eat dinner. She merely had 6 spoonfuls of porridge for lunch. This is unlike her usual self as Chloe has quite a good appetite ever since she is borned.

When I got home after work, Chloe is happy & excited to see me. I fed her 5ml of Ventolin & Rhiniramine each. Luckily Chloe took all the medication without any struggles. She even clapped her hands when we praised that she is a brave girl. Chloe finally fell asleep at 9.15pm after close to 30 mins of singing to her. Sweet dreams my baby...Mummy is worried. Please get well soon.

Yes Mama Nod Nod..

Shake her head? No problem. Chloe has learnt to shake her head since she is about 14 months. She will shake her head if she doesnt want water, she will shake her head if she doesnt want to sit in her pram. She can even shake her head furiously if she insisted she doesn't want something. Chloe however doesnt know how to nod her head when asked to.

Recently Chloe has finally learnt to nod her head. I will demonstrate by nodding my head & say 'YES' to her when I ask her a question. She will respond by nodding & 'shaking' her body at the same time. It's quite a funny sight :) The below video shows her eating egg tart & smiling at a stranger. She shows up a '1' sign telling us the food is GOOD!

My 2nd Pair Of Crocs

Ordered another pair of Crocs for Chloe from Mummy Michelle. This is my favourite. Girls Alice in Ruby. The design is simple & sweet. Daddy likes the black pair though :P

An An Kor Kor gets a pair too. Kids Cayman - Mickey Mouse series!

Naughty Naughty

Chloe behaves like a boy at times. She loves to stand on the wooden part of my bed! Despite spanking her legs & telling her NO, she turns on deaf ears. Sigh..

Chloe's Fruit Video

Here's Chloe in action. What else? Eating fruits! This time round she is trying hard to pick the fruits up on her skewers. At one point in time, she lost patience & used her hands hahaha...Eh pardon her grandpa's 3 letter word at the background :P

A Pleasant Surprise

This morning, Chloe surprised me again while I was busy getting ready for work. I was applying powder & she looked at me & said ''Pow ber''. I looked at her a second time as I did not believe my ears. I ask her : Powder? She replied ''Pow ber'' again while holding her balance standing on my bed. This is such a pleasant surprise for me on a busy morning.

I've been repeating this word to Chloe quite recently while changing diapers for her. When she is grouchy & refuse to lie still for me to change her, I would pass her a bottle of powder to hold & said 'POWDER'. She would then be pre-occupied playing with it till I finish changing her.

A second surprise followed while on the way to my sister's place in the car. Chloe was playing with a tin of barley & she threw the tin deliberately on the floor. Not wanting to be angered by her actions, I simply said : ''Chloe you throw away? Ok no more.'' Chloe then looked at me & replied ''No More'' while gesturing to me in her usual sign of telling me no more.

I feel that Chloe is pretty slow in her speech development for her age group. Her recent progress has been quite good. She can now say words like fish (ish), bread, mao (cat in Chinese) & not forgetting papa & mama.

I am looking forward to the day that we can 'TALK' to each other soon.

Fruits Are Good For Me

Almost every evening, Chloe would get her usual treat of freshly cut fruits from the market stall. Yes, at least 2-3 varieties of fruits for her. Chloe loves fruits. We would cut them into small pieces for her, put them on the skewers, leave it on the plate & she would feed herself piece after piece. Her favourite are papaya, rock melon & watermelon. The fruit stall uncle loves her. Chloe would give him a high five daily & wave bye bye to him before we head home.

Disney Girls Minnie Janes

Check this out. Chloe's first pair of Crocs! Mummy Michelle from the April thread extended her lobang for March mummies. I wasted no time in reserving a slot to get Chloe this pair of adorable Minnie Janes. The damage?? $35 & this is 30% off the retail price. That's quite a good deal!

An Afternoon at Geylang

We started our Sunday morning early today. As we had an appointment with an ID at Sims Ave, we stopped by to have tim sum for breakfast at Ho Kee. The meal was quite okay & the place was packed. Chloe was taking her morning nap in the stroller while Pete & I had the opportunity to savour our food. This however did not last for long. Perhaps it was due to the heat, or maybe the noise level. Chloe was awake quite soon after we started eating.

We spent close to 2 hours discussing with the ID while Chloe was busy walking & crawling around the place. At the end of discussion, her feet was dirty from walking around bare footed!

Pete & I then proceeded to stroll up Sims Ave for some good old durians :P, it wasn't the best that I've had with him back when we were dating, but it was still good. Chloe tried some durians too before she started to get all grouchy before her afternoon nap.

Hmmmm..daddy this is yummy!

More more ...

Wahh..the best meal I ever had!
When will I get to eat this creamy fruit again?

Runny Nose...AGAIN

I sent Chloe to my sister's place on Friday since auntie can no longer help me to take care of Chloe. She had a great time playing with my 3 yr old nephew the whole day. In fact, my sis commented that both smiled broadly at each other the moment Chloe stepped into the house! I am quite glad she has no problem adjusting.

But now I have another problem...Chloe is down with a cold again. I noticed her sneezing yesterday after she came home. Today her nose is wet! I hope she will be fine very soon as I have the intention to bring her for pneumococcal jab before she goes to the childcare.
