Let's Dance To Monster Dance

I kinda like this song really, it's got a catchy tune & cute lyrics :P

This is what I've managed to figure what the lyrics are :

We know a monster who's very very sweet
The friendliest monster that you could ever meet
His name is Happy & if you get the chance
to meet this happy monster & show you how to dance
How to dance, how to dance

* You gotta stomp your feet (stomp x3)
Twist & shout (Hey x3)
You gotta shake your arms & legs right out
Cos it's a happy happy monster, monster dance
Cos it's a happy happy monster, monster dance

We could all be monsters with silly monsters feet
The silliest monster that you could ever meet
Let's all be happy & do the monster dance
& if you're happy than wave your monster hands..wave your hands, wave your hands.

* Chorus

Rap:
Happy monster dance some more
Monster music on the floor
Ready to camp, ready to play
Monster bad, take it away!

Chloe Dancing to Hi-5 (Spin Me Round)

This is Chloe's Sunday ritual. She would wake up early & request to watch Hi-5 which i pre-recorded for her. I would drag myself out of bed just to turn on the TV for her so she could do her wild dancing & jumping around silly with her idols!

I am really wondering if this is getting too much as she is requesting to watch Hi-5 even on weekdays! Check out the way she cheers & mimic the lyrics of the song.

Mummy Don't Talk

It's amazing how fast our kids grow. From time to time, you hear your child struggling to pronounce one word & pick up new words. Then gradually, they begin to piece together that few words to form a simple sentence.

Communicating with Chloe is fun. She would normally respond with so much enthusiasm when she is trying to relate something to me.

It's especially funny on these 2 occasions:

Scene: In The Train
Pete was sitting beside Chloe when he began tapping his fingers on the train seats making a rhythmic sound. Chloe reacted by pushing his hands away. Pete, not bothered by her actions continued putting his hands on the seats & began tapping away trying to annoy her. This time round, Chloe responded by saying firmly: ''Put Your Hands Down!''. We were both amused & shocked by what she said. What a fierce little lady!

Scene: During bed time
Chloe: Mama pat pat.
Chloe had wanted me to pat her to sleep. I started patting her & seeing her angelic face in the dimmed bedroom, I just have to tell her how much she means to me.
Me: Mama Love you.
Chloe: I Love You
I felt the urge to tell her I love her very much again.. so without hesitating, I said ''I Love You'' again.
Chloe: Don't Talk

I have always told Chloe to stop talking when she is supposed to sleep. During bedtime, she would try to tell me things like what happened to her friend in school & if she has been a good girl that day. I would normally shut her up by saying, Dun Talk, sleep.

See? this is what you get in return. Hhaha!

Chloe's Report Card

Pete & I left work early on Monday to meet Teacher Monica. This 'Meet The Parent' session is to update us on Chloe's development in class.

Chloe has been in childcare since she was 18 months. Time flies & Chloe has been with her friends & teachers for almost a year!

We were presented with a red file with a list of developments Chloe had made while in day care. There were also surprise pictures taken by the teachers during class & play time. I was particularly impressed with an artwork Chloe did with paint & vegetable stamping on the last page of the file.

Pete & I sat with Teacher Monica for almost 30 minutes. We discussed about her behaviour both in class & at home, her eating habits, how popular she is with the teachers, friends, kitchen helpers & even parents who came by to visit, how she managed to understand a whole string of simple instructions given by her teacher & how she was able to carry out the task without any problem. We were both pleased to learn of the many positive feedback from her class teacher.

Chloe, mummy is so proud of you!

Made With Love - Zhu Jiao Chu

Since my D&C procedure 2 weeks ago, my MIL did a mini confinement for me. She would come over during my medical leave for almost an entire week to cook me soup & ginger dishes. Till now, I will still need to nourish my body with stuff like chicken essence & tonic soup.

Yesterday night, I had Zhu Jiao Chu with one hard boil egg. Yummy!
