Chloe - Top 5 Names in M&B Poll

At 10 months, there isn't really any word I can hear Chloe pronouncing except for the ba, pa, ma, ahHhhh, urh sounds she makes. Occasionally, she will go Trrr...Aye? on her own followed by clapping her hands.

She seems to pay more attention to words or rather sounds I make out of the animals. Eg) Moo when she is listening to her CD on nursery rhymnes on the Cow jumping over the moon. When I sing the Meow Meow song ,she will look up from what she's doing and smile at me. One animal she particulary likes is the cat. When she sees a stray cat at the foot of my block, she will make out the sound ehhh! to show her excitement.

However, this morning when I was inside the lift alone with Chloe, I heard her mutter the word OPEN. I was thinking to myself if I heard her wrongly. After finding out from my auntie who's been caring for her, I am pretty sure she did muttered the word OPEN! I did not really teach her to say the word 'open' except for one occasion when I was opening & closing my palms while playing with her.

Atten....Tion!

Chloe has been very attached to me & Pete recently. She would follow us wherever we go in the house. From the living room to the bedroom, from the bedroom to the kitchen & sometimes when Daddy is busy doing some chores, Chloe can be crawling all the way to the bath room! She would either be crying for our attention or making 'Uh Uh' sounds for us to carry her. This can be quite frustrating when you are trying hard to get things done in the house. Needless to say, you cannot possibly sit down & enjoy your meals when she is around. The funny thing she likes to do now is to pretend to cough. The more you pay attention to her, the longer she will 'cough' to get you to notice her!

EleFun @ the Zoo.

After a sumptuous reunion lunch with Pete's relatives, we headed to the zoo to meet my sister & nephew as I've promised Ian I will bring him to the zoo & birdpark again this year. I didnt really enjoy myself as compared to the time I went with Pete during my pregnancy. The sun's rays was scorching hot, coupled with the humidity, I really felt like turning back to the entrance & sit in aircon comfort. It was 2pm, I dragged my feet & perservered to walk at least abit with my little Koala sticking to me like glue.

We were heading towards the Elephant Show when it started to pour & we were lucky to have shelter while watching the Elephants do their stunts.

So Much To Do, So Little Time

The Lunar New year is round the corner. There are loads & loads of things to do yet I don't have the time to finish all . Spring cleaning? Needless to say, with my little monster by my side, I simply can't get any job done with her asking for attention every few mins. When she is taking her nap, I will steal some time to do the laundry. By the time I can sit down to take a short break, she will wake. Pete & I have to take turns caring for her during the weekends. If we are not home, we will be out with her to the shopping malls & Gymboree.

CNY clothes? Sigh...although I am in shopping malls almost every weekend, I dun really get to shop. Pete has been very accomodating & sweet to take care of Chloe while I 'shop'. But I dun seem to find anything I like!! I didn't want to get something for the sake of just getting it. Perhaps I should avoid the weekend crowd & shop on a weekday instead. That would mean I have to take leave & leave my sales behind.

I am looking forward for a mini makeover at the salon this evening when I get to complain to my regular stylist for my stupid looking 'fringe'. I really wish she can do wonders to my stupid hairdo (thanks to the !$%$!@# stylist who did a lousy job in Nov 07). When you have a BAD HAIR DAY EVERYDAY...it's really frustrating to look at yourself in the mirror.

Rounds of reunion dinner, Chloe's birthday bash prep, etc etc....will keep me very busy for the month of February & March 2008. So at the meantime, check out my updates of Chloe in this blog (if i dun KO at 8pm almost daily.)

What do you do with a pile of photos you've been keeping in that album? Yeah! scrap them! There are so many ways you can add more punch to your plain photos. With the loads of pattern papers & embellishments available in the stores out there, I can spend an entire hour deciding which to pick. It's an expensive hobby which I myself hope I dun give up halfway :P

Ok ok...yeah i know I havnt been updating this blog regularly. We are well..Chloe is well . Urmm...she's like a Koala Bear sticking to me <- (THE TREE TRUNK) all the time (Except when I am hiding from her la).

Alot happened for the past 1 month or so...Fun, laughter.. .X'mas..Birthdays, welcoming the new year with my darling baby on board the Duck Tour 'Bus'. & of cos not forgetting to mention I am starting my gym routine again (it's difficult!!!) after 2 years of ZERO EXERCISE . Really hope to lose that spare tyre & work those muscles! Haha & of cos my scrapbook 'MANIA' shopping at Spotlight & Plaza Singapura.
