It's My Turn...
Alas, after playing hide & seek with the devil virus for 2 weeks, my body finally succumbed to the torture.
I am down with fever & inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. I am exhausted from caring for Chloe cos she is still not fully recovered yet. My baby is cranky & needy. She wouldnt even want her daddy to carry her at times. I guess without ample rest & sleep, my body couldnt take the stress..so here I am taking a whole range of antibiotics & cough medication for the 5th time this month! Today's damage at the doc plus Chloe's medication is a whopping 55 bucks. Eww...wat to do...

Chloe Is Sick
Just before I could leave the office a bit earlier today cos of my incessant cough which wouldnt go away, I noticed a missed call on my mobile. My aunt just called me informing me that Chloe is running a fever.
FEVER?! this is such a common word u hear every day. I am quite petrified that this is really happening to my baby now. Arrgh!! she NEVER have any fever since she was born.
Her whole body is so warm to the touch, she is cranky & kept wanting to be carried. She wouldn't even allow me to measure her temperature. She pushed away the bottle of barley water I put to her mouth, she didnt finished her usual feed during bed time. Now she is asleep, I am thinking what now??
Dad is sick, Pete is sick & I am still coughing quite badly. SIgh...my poor baby must have gotten from us. We stay together, & it's quite difficult to avoid close contact from each other whenever anyone is sick. Chloe's temperature was 39 degree before we brought her to the doc. Now it has drop slightly to 37.8. I guess..it's unavoidable that I have to be awake all night to tend to the 2 babies snoozing on the bed now. Really hope everyone gets well soon.

Chloe @ JWT Gym with her friends
Sunday morning was spent with a cute bunch of babies from the March forum. It was 45 mins of play time at the JWT Gym trial @ Kallang Leisure Park. Chloe was totally exhausted after the session as she had missed her morning nap. The trial was quite a disappointment. Nevertheless, mummy thinks Chloe enjoyed mingling with her friends!

Dinner @ Oscars
12 March is a very special day for us. Pete & I are celebrating our 2 years of marriage together with our birthday girl who turns ONE officially today too. The sky was raining buckets but that didnt deter us from heading to the Conrad Hotel for our mini celebrations. The International buffet was good. I would say the staff were very friendly & we enjoyed ourselves. I would return for another meal there again.
I think the birthday girl looks good! Haha..in fact Chloe has her red pyjamas worn inside her grey dress as Pete & I didnt have time to change her as Pete fetched Chloe direct from my auntie's place while I was still at work. Besides, the weather was too chilly...so we decided to layer on Chloe's clothes .
I am ONE today!

Happy Birthday My Baby Chloe
Dear Baby girl,
Today you are officially 1 year old. We've shared so much together for the past 1 year. From your grand arrival at TMC after mummy's marathon 16 hour struggle, to the first glimpse mummy had of you when you were born. How warm n tiny you felt in mummy's arms when I was breastfeeding you, to the day you were sick & sent to the hospital for bronchiolities... the day you are able to flip, the moment u showed signs of crawling, the day you started 'singing' funny songs when you woke. The joy of having you is not what I can put down in words.
Mummy is looking forward to see you walk steadily & run next :) & anticipating to spend your every birthday with you.
My dear Chloe..Mummy loves you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Muack!!

Chloe's Birthday Party - 8 March @ NSRCC
Backdated Post:
We celebrated Chloe's birthday at the National Service Resort Country Club on Saturday. The whole chalet was decorated with colourful balloons in shades of Pink, Lilac & White. Chloe was intrigued by the floating balloons on the ceiling. A total about 45 guests turned up for the celebrations. The spread from Neo Garden was very well received by the guests. Thumbs up for the Curry Chicken & the Butter Prawns.
Chloe's cake was however damaged cos of the humid weather that day. I was especially disappointed but had to make do with what I had then..to disguise the damaged part with chocolate hearts. Top part of Chloe's cake is Apple Berry filling & the bottom layer is made of chocolate fudge.
Overall, the celebration was good though hectic as I went around mingling with my friends & colleagues.

Pete is on MC....
Pete had another relapse on Tuesday (4 March). This is his 4th episode since last year & the 3rd one since the beginning of this year. The seizures were too close & they happened every month since January 08.
Pete is diagnosed with Epilepsy. He was admitted to the A&E & hospitalised on Tuesday after 2 attacks at 6am & 10am. Pete was actually doing the graveyard shift till 3.30am before heading home to rest.
An EEG scan was done on Pete yesterday. He was discharged yesterday & on one week's medical leave. A review would be done on his scan in about 8-10 weeks time. The doctors concluded that stress & sleep deprivation triggered this attack. Most importantly Pete needs to remember to faithfully take his medication. A memo was given by the Neuro clinic addressed to Pete's company to refrain him from working overly long hours. I do hope that this memo will not penalise Pete in his work.
Below is a summary on Pete's condition:
What is a Seizure? A seizure is an abnormal electrical discharge of a group of brain cells. Seizures can produce a variety of symptoms, depending on the location of the seizure focus and the spread of the electrical activity through the brain.
What is Epilepsy? A person has epilepsy when he/she has more than 1 episode of epileptic seizures.
Triggers of Seizures
Forgetting to take medication
Stress
Lack of sleep
Menstruation
Concurrent infection like flu or fever
What to do when someone is having a seizure
Do
Remain calm
Protect the person from harm
Turn the person to the side
Observe the type and duration of seizure
Do Not
Restrain the person unless there is danger
Put anything in the mouth
Crowd around the person
What is Status Epilepticus?
Continuous seizures for more than 5 to 10 minutes; or
Seizures on and off, each lasting less that 5 minutes, but without regaining consciousness in between seizures.
Status Epilepticus is a medical emergency. Send the person to the hospital or call 995.

My 1st Bikini
Popo Molly went shopping around AMK Hub & chanced upon this cute bikini for Chloe. This is just in time for her 1st dip in the pool!
Yum Yum Waffles!
Pete & I decided to check out NATAS Fair at Expo today for any good deals for a short getaway for the both of us. However, we ended up at the Modern Living exhibition instead. After browsing around for some design ideas for our upcoming new home, we ended up booking a Simmons bed on the spot! I can't wait to jump on the bed when our house is ready (Next year! arrrhg!).
Not forgetting darling Chloe, she has a really good appetite today. After a round of fruit cereal, & some milk she still fussed for more food. Daddy has to go get a waffle for Chloe to fill her little tummy.
