Master Bedroom Light
Done! We will just go for this simple floral 'sculpture' for our bedroom light. Cheap cheap.. $49. You might have seen it at Ikea before. It looks good during the day or night. Most important of all, I will still have spare change for my passageway lights! :P

@ KK Hospital
Pete brought Chloe to KK Hospital on Friday as she seemed really in pain & she had a high fever. Before seeing the doctor, Chloe was put into an isolation ward to prevent contact with the public. After checking on Chloe's condition, the doctor advise us to have Chloe warded to monitor her temperature & her new lesions in case she gets further complications from infection.
Chloe is very bored as she is not allowed to go out of her ward at all. She sat on her bed all day either doodling on her colouring book which Ah Ma bought or playing with my flash cards by stomping them with her feet. Ah Ma bought her a Hello Kitty balloon to cheer her up.
Her appetitite has been poor. She only requested for milk at about 3pm today & merely finished 60ml of it. Breakfast was left almost untouched as she spitted out the bread which I gave her. Lunch was 2 fish balls & some soup.
Chloe has spots all over her mainly on the front & back of her body, back of her legs , face & neck. We washed her up very carefully in order not to hurt her. She is very terrified when we apply calamine lotion on her. We have no choice but to dab the lotion on her atlightning speed while struggling with her. Her temperature was fluctuating up & down the whole of last night & today.
We do hope she will be allowed to go home soon as staying in the hospital with her is both tiring & bored!

Mama...Itchy
This is what you will hear from Chloe almost the whole of today. She has started to scratch & tells me that she feels itchy. I feel so helpless watching her suffer. She's been pretty whiney at times , everything you give her she will say DONT WANT...
Chloe for sure has contracted chicken pox. I received a call from school during lunch time yesterday. Teacher Monica reported that they noticed small red dots on Chloe's body during bath time. Chloe seemed to be restless & had a poor appetite. She refused to eat anything except drinking milk, bananas & apples. She is quite reluctant to take her medications & I have resort to mixing them with ribena. Well at least this method works & she is still manageable.
This is really bad for us especially since our renovations just started. Well..priority will surely go to Chloe. Pete & I will work out our schedule. We will take turns taking care of her before she is well enough to go back to school.
I do really hope Chloe will be able to withstand this round of virus attack on her little body & get well soon.

Lights & Furniture Shopping
Finally! Hacking works is goin to start today. Pete & I went to Balestier, Jln Besar & Beach Road to confirm all our lights & sofa yesterday.
Although we have seen the lights at Chan Huat & more or less we would be getting the lights we've seen. We still spent a total of close to 3 hours making our FINAL choice.
Here are the lights we got :)
Living Hall Downlights
Study Cum Playroom Light
Dining Table Light
Dining Table Light (Lit)
Chloe's Room Light (Cute!!)
Service Yard Light
We were still short of our Master bedroom light, passageway & light for our house entrance as we couldnt find any to our liking.
After purchasing the lights, we headed to Royal Fanco to confirm our sink & tap fixtures. As Henry could not match the price that Poh Joo gave us for the oven & hob set, we decided to go for the better deal. However, we were 15 mins late! After walking a stretch along Jln Besar, getting soya bean for Chloe & fish balls for her snack (she refused to eat rice!!) we found the shop was closed. Arrgh!! wasted trip.
Next stop, Furniture Mall. Again we spent another 3 hours hagging over prices with the sales guy Kenneth. I must say we got good service from him. The sad part? Forking out $112 additional for our sofa & dining set as the price had increased tremendously over 2 weeks after we first met him! We eventually settled for the $xxxx price tag :P
Love this sofa! It's water proof & has sliding mechanism at the sitting portion. There is plenty of room for guests to sit & we can NUA anyway we like. We chose the black Tuflon leather cos we thought it will go with our theme.
Next comes our dining table. Got a round glass one instead of a rectangular one (I dun like wood) as we thought it's safer in case Chloe bangs herself around in the house :P Initially we wanted to have it spray painted in Black so our legs will not be seen when dining :P We were advised against by Kenneth as over time, the paint might chip...well so we took his advise.
Well, so far so good, though we were exhausted (so were our pockets), I am quite excited now, cant wait for my new house to take shape.

Chloe's Birthday @ Florida
Pete & I decided to have a simple birthday celebration for Chloe's 2nd birthday this year. Hence, we booked a pit with the help of my bro in law @ Florida. Earlier on in the afternoon, a thunderstorm nearly forced us to cancel the BBQ. Luckily the sky cleared by then & we gathered at the BBQ pit with our family.

My First Hair Cut
Pete & I brought Chloe to Junior's League @ Suntec for her 1st haircut. We were pleasantly surprised that Chloe did not fuss & cry at all! Instead, she turned to us & said "Gor gor cry" referring to the boy next to her who cried nonstop while getting his hair cut.
Chloe was quietly sitted on the chair watching Barney throughout the entire 20 mins or so. She was rewarded with a balloon & some stickers after her hair cut.
